Contest an automated decision.

If a company used AI to decide something about you — a loan, a job, an insurance quote, a benefit, a tenancy — UK data-protection law gives you the right to contest that decision and ask for a human to look at it. Here is how the contest works on Secruna.

How to contest a decision

  1. Find the contest URL the company has shared with you. It will look like secruna.com/contest-an-ai-decision/<company-slug>.
  2. Tell us what happened, what you want the company to do, and your email. You will get a reference id you can keep.
  3. The company has 30 days to respond. You can check the status at secruna.com/contest-an-ai-decision/<company-slug>/status.

If you cannot find the company-specific URL, contact the company directly and ask for it. They are required to provide a contest path under the ICO Code on AI and Automated Decision-Making.
